All session will be scheduled for 75 minutes.

Session Formats

Traditional Breakout
Traditional breakout sessions will highlight specifics related to talk, data, action, or results to improve outcomes at one or more community colleges. This session type should feature active learning activities to reinforce the session learning outcomes for participants.

Panel Presentation
Proposals using a panel format will include a panel moderator and at least 3 panelists from more than one community college.  Panel sessions will be organized around a specific focus area and encourage panelists to share perspectives on the topic from various perspectives. The session agenda should include ample time for Q and A from attendees.
Developing a Successful Proposal

Proposals will be evaluated based on their fit with the conference theme and selected focus area.  The potential interest in the topic and the quality of the proposal will be the primary factors in selecting successful proposals, but MCCA will also work to include sessions from as many colleges as possible.  Multi-college presentations are strongly encouraged.
