MCCA and OACC’s cross state Frontiers of Practice help colleges strengthen student success priorities aligned with CCRC’s five Frontiers through research based webinars, peer collaboration, and optional expert coaching, with Frontier 1 focusing on building high value credential pathways through clear career and transfer maps, expanded high return programs, and stronger ladders into high demand technical fields.

MCCA and OACC’s cross state Frontiers of Practice help colleges strengthen student success priorities aligned with CCRC’s five frontiers through research based webinars, peer collaboration, and optional expert coaching. Frontier 3 emphasizes the critical role of onboarding in supporting completion and post-graduation success by rethinking recruitment and onboarding practices through the ACIP Framework (Ask, Connect, Inspire, Plan) and shifting institutional mindsets about the purpose and impact of onboarding.

Webinar Objective: Learn how to form sustainable, non-duplicative partnerships with CBOs (e.g., housing, transportation, mental health).

Work Product: Colleges will build on the student needs and services available to identify and prepare a partnership plan with community based organization sthat can partner with the college to provide services to students.

 The MCCA has partnered with ACCT to provide a state-based Governance Leadership Institute (GLI). The institute will cover such topics as roles and responsibilities of a public governing board, being an effective trustee...and much more! This is the same curriculum you'd receive at one of the national ACCT GLI events but more cost-effective and includes a Michigan-specific focus.

This preview session prepares fellows for the virtual convening on the student experience. Participants will review session topics, expectations for engagement, and how teaching, learning, and advising connect to student success outcomes.
