Finish Forward

This session will address key considerations for the technical implementation of Automatic Degree Conferral. Participants will examine how ADC is operationalized within student information system, best practices for reporting, student identification, and quality assurance will be shared. The session will also revisit of the action plan to support institutional implementation and completion.

We’re excited to invite you to the annual MCCA Capitol Day—our signature advocacy event and a powerful opportunity to meet face-to-face with legislators in Lansing and share why continued investment in Michigan’s community and tribal colleges matters.

All individuals planning to attend must be registered. MCCA offers to schedule legislative meetings and will coordinate with each college’s designated point of contact, as indicated at registration, to determine the level of support requested.

Michigan New Jobs Training Program

Offered once per quarter, this virtual session is designed to support anyone involved with the Michigan New Jobs Training Program, including new college staff, employer partners, and payroll providers. Each session will include a brief overview of the MNJTP, practical guidance on working with the Michigan Department of Treasury, and time for open Q&A. Whether you're just getting started or looking to troubleshoot an issue, these quarterly briefings will help ensure smooth and effective participation in the program.

This spring update will provide the latest information on the Michigan Corrections Officer Grant Program, including enrollment activity, billing updates, policy clarifications, and upcoming changes for the next academic year. Colleges will have an opportunity to ask questions and learn about emerging supports for MDOC students.

Location: Applied Technology Center (ATC), GRCC Main Campus
   1. Parking (Ramp A) • Address: 173 Ransom Ave NE, Grand Rapids, MI 49503
       • Park in Ramp A (Bostwick Ramp).
       • Cross Ransom Ave to enter the Applied Technology Center (ATC) and go down to Level 1.
   2. Walking to the ATC
       • Cross Fountain Street. The ATC is the large brick building directly across from the ramp.
       • Enter through the main doors on Fountain Street.
   3. Finding the Secchia Piazza
       • The Piazza is on the 1st Floor, immediately inside the Fountain Street entrance. • Look for the "SkyCone" (large glass skylight) in the center of the building.

The Michigan Community College Associations hosts virtual networking opportunities for Board of Trustees and Regents from our member colleges. These casual convenings are an opportunity to connect with fellow board members, discuss any pertinent issues, ask questions and build relationships. The April 2026 meeting focus will be a re-cap of Capitol Day, a preview of the Summer Conference and a chance to share how your colleges have celebrated #CCMonth!
