This session included an overview on Higher Education and Labor Market Alignment from Dr. Michelle Van Noy, Associate Director of Education and Employment Research in the Rutgers School of Management and Labor Relations. Then, Dr. Scott Powell, Director of the State of Michigan's Bureau of Labor Market Information and Strategic Initiatives provided participants with details about and demonstration of high-impact labor market data tools available to the public. In debriefing the session, leaders from Alpena Community College, Lake Michigan College, and Lansing Community College shared brief remarks on their college's use of labor market data for procuring grant, projecting enrollments, making academic programming decisions, etc.
