Michigan Presidents Involved in National Commission on the 21st Century Community College Initiative.

Implementation teams begin work on AACC’s 21st-Century Initiative. Nine teams designated to recommend how community colleges can better serve students and communities have started to review research, data and promising practices.
Daniel Phelan, President of Jackson Community College, is chairing one of the implementation teams. Other Michigan community college presidents involved in the 21st Century Initiative are James Jacobs (Macomb Community College), Timothy Nelson (Northwestern Michigan College) and Brent Knight (Lansing Community College).
