Five Michigan community colleges have been identified by The Aspen Institute as one of the top 150 community colleges eligible to compete for the Aspen Prize for Community College Excellence.

See the list of colleges by state, and the Community College Daily article.  The Aspen Prize, which is awarded every two years, focuses on student success and looks at outstanding achievements in four areas: learning; certificate and degree completion; employment and earnings; and high levels of access and success for minority and low-income students.  

Congratulations to Gogebic Community College, Kalamazoo Valley Community College, Lansing Community College, Mott Community College, and Wayne County Community College District.
