New report highlights Michigan as having the largest change in college participation rates for students from low-income families between 2000 and 2010.

Postsecondary Education Opportunity published data on the college participation rates among students from low-income families by state from 1993-2010. Michigan ranks #1 in participation rates from low-income families between 2000 and 2010 - from 24.3% to 46.8%, and #6 overall. www.postsecondary.org/SpreadsheetsPW/LowIncSchoolLunch/LowIncSLunch_MI.pdf
