Southwestern Michigan College, a two-year college located approximately 30 minutes north of South Bend, Indiana, and approximately 30 minutes from Lake Michigan’s eastern shore is seeking a dedicated, enthusiastic and experienced adjunct faculty member to join our Department of Visual & Performing Arts in Spring 2018, teaching Music Appreciation.

QualificationsJob Description:
Online course management and communication via Moodle is a required component in all courses. Instructor must be qualified to teach in hybrid class format.

Required Qualifications:
• Master’s Degree in Music or Music-related field (MFA, MM, or MA) with a minimum of 18 graduate level credit hours in music.
Other Information:
All applicants must demonstrate the ability to promote active and collaborative learning through a variety of teaching methods, as well as relate to students. Excellent organization and communication skills as well as the demonstrated use of instructional technology are required.
