DescriptionThe Vice President serves as the Chief Academic Officer (CAO) for a vibrant community college of over 4,000 students on two campuses in central Michigan. In this pivotal leadership role, the Vice President has the opportunity to strengthen and expand a quality academic program.

The College seeks an energetic thought-leader who will identify and pursue program possibilities and strategies for student success. The Vice President will work collaboratively with the President, faculty members, administrators and other campus and community stakeholders to ensure continuous quality improvement in all of MMCC’s academic offerings.

As the Chief Academic Officer, the Vice President provides leadership, management and support for all academic related activities; oversees planning activities related to academic quality in course offerings, curricular design and development, and the assessment and evaluation of student achievement; develops and monitors budgets; and provides staff supervision. The position reports directly to the President and serves as Acting President in his or her absence.

The anticipated start date is August 1, 2017.
QualificationsThe ideal candidate will possess significant managerial, leadership, and instructional experience. An advanced degree is required; a Ph.D. is preferred. The College offers a generous salary and benefit package, a collegial working environment, and a lovely campus setting.
