The New Trustee Orientation will provide newly elected trustees with a forum to learn about critical issues facing community colleges, the MCCA's purpose and goals, legislative priorities, the landscape in Lansing and effective advocacy strategies.
Following the New Trustee Orientation, participants are invited to attend the "Community College Day in Michigan" reception at the Capitol with legislators from 11 am to 1 pm.
Who Should Attend? Newly elected trustees in their first term of service and any trustee interested in learning more about MCCA and issues facing their colleges.
