Muskegon Community College partnered with Grand Valley Community College to facilitate the "reverse transfer" of credits.

The agreement between Muskegon Community College (MCC) and Grand Valley Community College (GVSU) allows students with at least 30 MCC credits to reverse transfer up to 32 GVSU credits.  The goal of the agreement is to help students accumulate postsecondary credits to attain Associate Degrees.

Wayne County Community College is highlighted in an article in The Chronicle of Higher Education for its efforts in building the path to employability for ex-offenders.

About three years ago, the college began a partnership with Detroiters Working for Environmental Justice to offer a 12-week certificate program for green jobs. Many ex-offenders enroll in the program, which has no tuition: Grants from the city and other sources cover costs. Students receive training in numerous specialties, including lead, asbestos, and mold abatement; energy auditing; and environmental assessments.

Washtenaw Community College will welcome approximately 700 iron worker instructors, employers, contractors, and business owners from across the U.S. and Canada for a one-week training program.

Community College Week published the 2012 edition of the “Top 100 Associate Degree Producers.”

Associate Degrees (all disciplines): Macomb Community College, Oakland Community College, Grand Rapids Community College, Lansing Community College, and Mott Community College.

Information Technology employers work with Wayne County Community College District and Washtenaw Community College on "IT in the D."

Grand Rapids Community College and Western Michigan University have announced a joint enrollment agreement for business students.

The agreement will grant joint admission to both GRCC and WMU’s Haworth College of Business, allowing students to begin at GRCC and seamlessly transfer to Western to complete a Bachelor of Business Administration Degree.
