Get SET, a five- to six-week accelerated program that includes 120 to 160 hours of hands-on instruction, is turning out CNC (Computerized Numerical Control) machinists in roughly 1/12th the time of a traditional 18-month apprenticeship.

In the Early College Program, students will take 13 hours of college credits this coming school year, 22 next year and 24 the fifth year along with fourth-year high school math. Students will also take a three-credit summer course. The program allows students to enjoy all the activities of high school, even providing online college courses for them to take so they can continue participating in high school band, athletics or other extracurricular activities.       Read the full news item
